My body decided to wake me up at 7am. This after less than 4 hours sleep. It is now almost 11 am. I must get a nap in. Tonight is going a looooooooooong night. Biggest amateur night of the year.
Dear amateur club goers. We know you feel deserving. We know you wish to get a big bang for your buck. But there are some things you should know. We/The Club want you there. We want you to come inside. We want you to drink. We want you to have a good time doing so. Please know, though you may not understand them in the immediate moment, the rules and methods in place have reason for being there. I would be glad to explain, but when there is a huge line waiting behind you and I am swamped by people with questions and having their own hissy fits, it is not the time. For now, please realize, just like the "do not ingest" directions on hemorrhoid cream, someone sometime did something to require we do so. There is method to our madness. Also know that there are many, quite strict, laws behind what we do and the way we do it. If we, or our patrons, violate legal guidelines, the business can loose its licenses. Know that any problems you have with these laws or our rules can not be solved by foot stomping, eye rolling, huffiness, hissy fits, or threats to make us "internet famous". Such elaborate displays not only do not help you to enjoy your night more, but also interferes with those you are holding up with your fits as well as those of your friends who will have to leave with you when you make us take that final step and 86 you for the evening. If you have any problems with the laws, such as we must remove all alcohol and cease all alcohol sales by 2am, we encourage you to write your state representatives and spearhead change. Repeating "Come on..." over and over and over to the security trying to keep the club within these laws will not spearhead that change. If your problem is paying the cover, I encourage you to rent out the facility and throw your own party with free entry to the public. Be the change you wish to see in others. Please know, that as much as we want you to come to our place, there are many other people around you and behind you. Everything does not revolve around you.
One last thing - if you arrived early to be the first in line, know that we do not have a customer manufacturing machine in the club. When you are the first one through the door, don't be surprised there is no one in the club.
