I have some serious social anxiety issues, so I really understand the awkward/annoying feeling. Thankfully the rest of the world doesn't always perceive me the way I feel like I'm being perceived, and I think it's the same thing with you.
In any case, I've always really enjoyed interacting with you. You always struck me as really engaged in most conversations we've had, and it feels to me like you actually listen and respond to what I'm saying. And what you respond with is actually worth listening to. Beyond that, you're friendly, candid, intelligent, and approachable. So, yeah. Not awkward or annoying. :P
