Help my baby!!!
Oct. 27th, 2004 11:18 amI probably only have a short time before my computer goes blewey again -
I NEED HELP!!!!!
My laptop shuts down. By itself, without my permission, that is. I started in Rom based set up and ran an HDD test - and nothing. Literally. 0% of test done and it stops testing and says nothing.
When it shuts down on me, a blue page of info comes up, but only for a split second, and i can't read jack on it.
The last time, of the several times it has done this, it said - System halted. Fixed Disk Parameter table or BIOS error.
Most of the time when I try to restart it, it says - Non System Disk or Disk error. Replace disk and press any key.
If you can help me fix this, like in PERSON, please call me - 415-424-1822. I really need help. Don't email or respond here, because if my computers not working, i won't get the message.
PLEASE SOMEONE HELP MY BABY!!!!!
p.s. - I think, in those brief mili-seconds of the blue shutdown screen, I saw the words "system dump". What does that mean? on one of these rare times it restarts and stays up, should I do a system restore? I would probably have to redownload a few drivers.
