Thoughts of the day

1.    The new immigration bill would not effect only Mexicans (and others of the lower Americas). You know that cute girl at the coffe shop with the thick Irish accent that makes you melt? Yeah, her too. Not to mention a tall, gorgeous, illegal French blond I am fortunate to know.

2.      My old love for the genius of Laurie Anderson is not only there, but strong enough to withstand techno. The End Up DJ of the night played "Superman" remixed mellow but danceable and I still enjoyed it.

3.      I went to a movie by myself for the first time in awhile today in the 'tween hours of waking and what I had to do. I forget how much I enjoy spending time alone. Being in a darkened theater by myself is very much like meditating. I felt much more calm and okay with the world   after.

4.      "The Inside Man" is a good movie, but I still don't think Spike Lee is the genius most everyone else seems to see.

It occurs to me that when someone says, "I had forgotten how much I like thai food," you can respond with, "I *love* thai food. We should go get some together some time." However, even though my reaction to #3 was, "I *love* spending time alone.," it just doesn't follow with the rest very well. :)
