One thing people and politicians on easy access soapboxes don't understand when they blame video games and movies for violence today, is how hard true violence really is.
I've seen people shot infront of me, I've known people shot instead of me. I've watched people beaten within inches of their lives and stood there till the cops came. I've seen alot, and thanks to the internet, even more.
One thing I know, is how difficult and ugly it really is. No matter how much Grand Theft Auto and first person shooters one plays, when its there in front of you in real life, it just isn't even close to the same. It looks fancy and dramatic on tv, but its just horrid up close.
I feel its necessary for me to never close my eyes to anything anyone else has to live through, but its never easy to see. And you have to be a terribly broken person to be the perpetrator of any of it.
