I have been sullen lately. Just inexplicably down. Some of what I feel could be situational, but it feels chemical. I can't shake it. I can't make myself want to do anything to shake it. Motivation is nil (or as David put it once, Nihl). I was once introduced to Sushi and vitamin B as a way to fight malaise, but this time, it is not helping. Often, when I get like this, I crave spicy foods. I put tabasco on everything and eat wasabi from a tube.
But I need to get my shit together or I am going to get behind on everything.

Another reason may be some of my classes. One of the subjects is quite rough, the others, the subjects are not particularly dark, but what the teachers talk about is. It is a semester of Rape, sexism, and racism. After my classes, I feel even less like the Polly-Anna I usually am.

The fact that Kit is rarely not grumpy or annoyed and now has a tooth-ache doesn't help either, I am sure.

I will probably try a bit more Sushi therapy with extra wasabi. Then try to get some shit together. Maybe I will buy some Sam E, see if that helps.

Want more soup? Or some hugs? Or another field trip?

Thats the worst of it, trying to find the motivation to fix it. I want to want to, but I don't. I just want to fast forward to summer.

Sometimes you don't need to fix it though, just keep going and things work themselves out...

-hugs-

hang in there

Classes like that can really get to you. You are more emotionally involved than you might think while learning and certain subjects just can't help but get under your skin.

Hey, do you want to get together to study sometimes? I find it helps me do better, and taking breaks (because I am in a pretty disturbing class as well), and talking about what I am reading makes me feel saner.

hope the wasabi helps. washing it down with green tea and sake with good friends can increase the efficacy. For herbal supplements, I'm a big fan of 5-HTP it's the precoursor to serotonin, so it's easier for your brain to make more of the happy stuff. Also have you tried endorphins?

I loves me the endorphins. Thats why I go for the hot things. I never have tried 5-htp for this sort of thing. Maybe I will do that.
You know what washes wasabi down the best? A foot massage from a hot girl ;)

hi. like one of your friends said above, 5-HTP is basically an over the counter anti-depressant. the "TP" in the name is tryptophan (probably mis-spelled) which is the stuff found naturally in turkey that has a calming effect. but 5-HTP is known to help the brain produce seratonin and keep it it balanced. It's available at any drugstore and MUCH cheaper than sam-e. try it.

Cost depends on where you buy it. I saw it today at walgreens for 14.99, but I usually buy it at Walmart where it's 7.99 for the same amount. Either way it's good stuff. It's great for E-tards take it before and after they roll for a better trip.
