One more reason I am angry, frustrated, and embarrassed to work at Z.
I don't know who invited them, they said Michael (DJ Monster) called but he had left at 1am, they shouldn't have been invited, but thats beside the point. Brian (Hicksmokey) and Little Matt and a couple others stopped by Z after we were closed last night. Security told me to not let them in, but how could I leave them outside. They stepped inside and were told we were closed. Someone invited them for an after party, but since management has got its undies in such a bunch nothing like that happens anymore. Smokey was cool about it, but little Matt was a bit pissed. And he says "You guys are never getting free drinks after hours at our club again".
He was a bit over angry and bitchy, but I can not blame him. We stayed across the street, when our tuesday goth night was there instead, a week ago, drinking ourselves stupid, till all hours of the morning. We can't even extend the courtesys others extend to us back to them. Why should they extend any courtesy to us? I can't even give the DJs free drinks on monday nights. Its embarrassing. Truely embarrassing.

I give people the same club courtesy I am given.
I will happily buy the people who work for DuNord a drink.
End of line.

Really? When did this start? Because I remember plenty of times letting you into places for free, only to find out that when i went to your club at Z (restoration, was it?), i had to pay.

I did not think you were working at the DNA now.

What times do you work there?

Thats the point. You dont work at any local clubs now.
If you did I would still offer you courtesy, like the people at DuNord or most of the kids at DNA.

I also believe I offered to give you that $3 back that night, but you insisted on not getting it back.
The next time I see you I will happyly give you $3.

No, that's absolutely not the point at all.

What you said is "I give people the same club courtesy I am given", which I know from personal experience to be the opposite of the truth. That was the point.

I don't see how my not working at local clubs now has to do with this issue at all. I haven't been to any of your clubs since before i quit working in SF.

And for the record, I don't believe you did offer a refund, but even if you had, so what? It's not about the three measly dollars. When a person makes the effort to get out and across town to support a friend in his efforts to get a new club going -- particularly after giving said friend free admission at many other (much more expensive) events -- and said friend charges this person cover, that's pretty insulting.

Neither of these issues has anything to do with the original point, though, which is that you're making untrue statements. If what you meant was "I give people the same club courtesy I am given BUT ONLY AT THE DNA OR DUNORD", then maybe that's what you should have said.
