My phone, again

My phone has been breaking down for quite awhile. Little by little, things are falling apart. I am amazed at its durability. It should have been history many times over. But now, it won't charge anymore. In fact, when I saw it wasn't charging and tried unplugging the charger from the phone, the whole unit came out with the plug.
My battery is not so slowly draining. It has a sliver of life and that is slipping away. It seemed a good idea to use its last breaths of life to transfer my phone book to the SIM card. But alas, this is not to be either. I can find no way, no options of doing this on my phone. I guess that is why none of them are on the SIM to begin with. I know there has to be a way, but it is far from intuitive and I am hoping there will be enough battery left when Kit gets home to start manually transferring them over to his phone.
So, if you do not hear from me in the near future, I am not hibernating. I have not mysteriously dropped off the planet. I just no longer have means of personal communication.
Don't forget about me while I am gone.....
